Alexis & Cameron

Here is another beautiful, unique throwback to 2018. I cannot believe how quickly time passes. Looking back through all the images from our past weddings has me really feeling grateful to be able to do this job. I get to know my brides in the design process and I have realized there is a pattern - that I really do have the SWEETEST couples. Alexis and Cameron are definitely no exception to this rule!

I met Alexis through our CSA. She first worked at a local ceramic studio that I delivered to, then at a coffee shop I delivered to. So each time I brought bouquets in, I was greeted with her friendly smile! She reached out to us and asked us to design her wedding and I jumped right on opportunity. She said things like “full trust and creative freedom” and “the more dramatic the better” and when describing her bouquet - “wild, earthy, sexy, feminine”. I mean, yes please! I love it when clients have fun with this part of the process. It really sets me at ease and gets my creative juices flowing too!

We got busy brainstorming ideas. She wanted hoop bridesmaid bouquets which I made out of vines, like a spring wreath! I think they were so unique and her bridesmaids looked stunning with their mix-matched dresses and hoops draping on their arms. See below - you must.

Alexis knew she wanted a statement piece above them during the ceremony but wasn’t exactly sure on specific details. So I took from the inspiration she sent me and used something completely seasonal to this area which happened to coordinate with her color palette perfectly - Golden Rain Tree. It just so happened to be in pod stage which are these delicate, paper-like champagne tinted pods that occur after the tree has flowered. We were able to sprinkle these pods throughout her full design, and create a structural monotone installation to go above them as they said their vows. It worked out perfectly. Their ceremony and celebration was so heartfelt and thoughtful. I just can’t stand how gorgeous Alexis is! Last, but definitely not least, how insanely beautiful are these pictures from Mary Claire Photo. So good!

But also how they look at each other, and the Ikebana arrangements, and that VAN! So many cute details on this one. We enjoyed it so much!
